Dhritarashtra is haunted by a disturbing nightmare, prompting Vidur to caution him that it may foreshadow actual events. Meanwhile, Gandhari advises Duryodhan against pursuing war with the Pandavas and encourages him to make amends with Draupadi. In Indraprastha, Draupadi ties a protective thread around Abhimanyu's wrist, but to her dismay, it snaps unexpectedly.
