Green Acres

Overview
Green Acres follows the comedic adventures of a New York City couple, played by Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor, who trade urban life for the challenges of rural farm living. Premiering on CBS on September 15, 1965, this beloved sitcom was produced by Filmways and served as a companion piece to Petticoat Junction. Despite achieving solid ratings, it was canceled in 1971 during CBS's infamous "rural purge." The show has enjoyed a lasting legacy through syndication and various home media formats. Notably, the episode "A Star Named Arnold is Born" earned a spot on TV Guide's list of the 100 Greatest Episodes in 1997.
