Following his mishap with the idol at Tribal Council, Jacques believed he had irrevocably damaged his standing with the Ta'alo tribe. Nevertheless, he decided to fabricate a story about how he obtained the idol, saying he had received a clue during the first reward challenge. The male members of Ta'alo were left puzzled by Jacques’ surprising idol confession and its execution. That morning, Jacques got his wish for a tribe swap, as the tribes were reconfigured into three groups of six.
