Spinner and Jane are excited about their plans for the upcoming year, with Jane set to start pre-law and Spinner hoping to attend police college. However, when Spinner learns he didn't get accepted, he struggles to share the news and resorts to lying. Jane eventually discovers the truth, making her question their future together. Meanwhile, Clare is caught in a dilemma when both K.C. and Connor ask her to the dance. Fearing their rivalry could impact Robot Wars, she decides to decline both invitations. Alli receives an anonymous rose but learns from Anya that it was sent by Johnny. When she asks him to the Valentine's dance, he turns her down, citing her being a "niner" as the reason. In another storyline, Kelly and Emma finally express their feelings for one another and go on a date together.
