Granger and Cruz are dispatched to Ventura County to escort a witness for a murder trial back to Santa Monica. However, the unruly young woman proves to be a handful, constantly evading them and creating chaos. Their attempts to keep her in check lead to a series of misadventures, ultimately causing them to forfeit a date with two stunning women who are headed for Catalina.
