The team is called to look into the murder of a police officer who was killed in a shootout, leaving a chaotic scene littered with bullets. Complications arise when they discover that Sofia Curtis and Jim Brass were present with the officer during the incident. As the investigation reveals that the officer was a victim of friendly fire, the team must determine who pulled the trigger. Meanwhile, Sofia grapples with the possibility that she may have been responsible for the fatal shot and chooses to conceal the fact that the officer entered her line of fire, fearing it could jeopardize her career.
