As Michael pursues a notorious criminal who has eluded law enforcement for years, the villain and his gang devise a scheme to hinder Michael's progress. They set a trap to capture K.I.T.T., Michael's advanced AI car, in an attempt to thwart his investigation and buy themselves more time. With the stakes raised, Michael must find a way to rescue K.I.T.T. while continuing to chase down the mastermind behind the crime spree.
