Toast is thrilled to land a role in a new play, but his enthusiasm is dampened by two concerns: his rival, Ray Purchase, is also in the cast, and there's unsettling gossip about their director, Acker Herron, having a penchant for eliminating troublesome actors. On the romantic front, Toast finds himself torn between his charming and adventurous former RADA classmate, Greta Cargo, and a prostitute, forcing him to navigate both his career and personal life amid the chaos.
