Episode Overview

The Cartwrights are gearing up for a significant cattle drive alongside other ranchers. Ben's foreman is set to take on the role of trail boss, but Weatherby, another rancher working with Ben, initially supports Kelly for the position. However, when he learns that Kelly was once fired by him for drinking during a previous drive, his support falters. Instead, Weatherby proposes that his younger wrangler assume the trail boss role, igniting tension between Ben's foreman and Weatherby's choice for the job.
