Dr. Phyllis Thackeray determines that the cook at the Barton Ranch is suffering from smallpox. Concerned that the cowhands might also be at risk, she realizes they all require vaccinations. To address the situation effectively, Dr. Thackeray reaches out to the one person she believes can assist her in managing the outbreak.
