Lund insists on exhuming the grave of deceased soldier Per K. Møller, convinced the coffin is empty, but her hypothesis is quickly debunked. Following this setback, she is sidelined from the investigation and chooses to focus on her mother’s wedding until new leads prompt her return. Meanwhile, Buch rehires his assistant Karina Munk, despite the disapproval of permanent secretary Plough. Together, they visit former minister Monberg, who has awakened in the hospital, hoping to uncover vital information regarding the case that has been unfolding.
