Hooterville is swept up in Beatlemania, prompting Uncle Joe to enlist Billy, Bobbie, Betty Joe, and their friend Sally Ragsdale to create a band named the Ladybugs. When Colonel Partridge, a talent agent, visits the Shady Rest to scout the girls, he's impressed and eager to sign them. However, Sally's father, Sheriff Ragsdale, intervenes, insisting that his daughter should prioritize her education over touring. Determined to keep the band together, Uncle Joe devises a plan that involves him donning a Ladybug costume to persuade everyone.
