On the Cornelia Marie, Captain Phil confronts the harsh reality of his son Jake's battle with drug addiction. Alongside a few fellow captains, he reflects on the possibility of retirement and who might carry on their legacy. Meanwhile, Captain Sig has to break some difficult news to one of his deckhands. As the fleet returns to port to unload, they are reminded that misfortunes can strike even in the safety of harbor.
