Wolverine returns to his native Canada, where he finds himself ambushed by his old allies from Alpha Flight. The government is determined to extract the secrets of his adamantium skeleton, resorting to extreme measures, including disassembling him to achieve their goal. As former friends turn foes, Wolverine must confront not only his past but also the relentless pursuit of those who once stood by his side.
