Tensions rise in Washington as Rygaard and Oakes find themselves competing for the same landing site. Meanwhile, in the bayou, Shelby encounters legal troubles over a disputed log. In Alaska, Joe and Coatsy face challenges as they attempt to help the Papac crew regain their momentum. Over in Florida, the Dreadknots clash with fish and wildlife authorities while the Chapman crew burns the midnight oil to improve their log count. On the Pearl River, the Ax Cut team is in a frantic race against an advancing tropical storm.
