S4E14 The Fifth Wheel

Fran resolves to heed Dr. Miller’s advice and stop pursuing relationships. This decision doesn’t sit well with Sylvia, who blames Mr. Sheffield for her daughter's perpetual single status. To lift their spirits, Fran, Val, and Ms. Babcock plan a "girls' night" without the intent of meeting men. However, when Val and C.C. secure dates, Fran finds herself feeling like the odd one out during their double date. Feeling isolated and disheartened, Fran returns home, struggling to mask her disappointment. Meanwhile, Mr. Sheffield and Fran share a moment of consolation together. In a separate subplot, Dr. Miller’s attempt at hypnosis with Sylvia proves to be a humorous failure.
