WILL SYD SUPPORT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH JOE CONNELLY? TENSIONS ESCALATE WHEN PETE (GUEST STAR ALEX D. LINZ, 'MAX KEEBLE'S BIG MOVE') IGNITES A FIRE IN HIS BEDROOM. As election day approaches, Syd (Melina Kanakaredes) grows disillusioned with Joe Connelly’s (guest star Steven Eckholdt) negative campaigning, questioning his character. Meanwhile, Pete (guest star Alex D. Linz) faces the reality of his feelings for Robbie (Seth Peterson) after a fire incident leads to Robbie rescuing him. In another subplot, Jim (Mike Farrell) mistakenly administers a drug to a dog that goes into cardiac arrest, compounded by Dr. Malaga's (guest star Cress Williams) inadvertent second injection. At home, Joanie (Paula Cale) unknowingly gives Jim an herbal supplement that could trigger an ulcer.
