Vincent manages to escape just in time, crashing into the nursery where Gabriel is about to smother the infant. He confronts Gabriel, ready to end him, but Diana intervenes, urging him to hold back. To protect Vincent and the child, Diana reluctantly fires her weapon at Gabriel. With the threat neutralized, Vincent descends with the baby, naming him Jacob in honor of Father. During the poignant naming moment, Catherine appears behind Vincent, embodying the role of his protective guardian angel.
