Following Seth's hospitalization due to poisoning from an apple Eudora gave Jessica, she remains convinced of her colleague's innocence. Sheriff Metzger uncovers that the murdered private investigator had been tracking Jessica's husband, Hank Shipton, and had discovered his affair with Lisa, the wife of wealthy Victor Casper. Meanwhile, Hank's son, Bobby, faces a beating from local tough guy Arnie over unpaid pool bet debts. In the end, Jessica pieces everything together.
