While enjoying a fishing excursion, Perry Mason and Paul Drake notice a young woman named Sally Fenner being chased by aggressive guard dogs on a nearby island estate. Perry and Paul quickly rescue her from the water, but soon after, Perry finds himself representing her in court as she faces a murder accusation.
