On February 24, 1989, United Airlines Flight 811 is in the skies over the Pacific Ocean when a section of the right fuselage suddenly tears away, resulting in the ejection of nine passengers and an explosive decompression of the cabin. Despite the harrowing incident, the crew manages to navigate the aircraft safely to Honolulu, ensuring no further fatalities occur.
