When a black man stabs a police officer, it ignites racial conflict both on the streets and within the Knick, prompting Thackery and Edwards to respond. Everett makes his way back to the hospital, only to find the operating room has transformed. Meanwhile, Barrow grows increasingly worried about Junia’s well-being. Cornelia is taken aback by Edwards’ resourcefulness, and Lucy is safely escorted to her home.
