Henry, Gordon, and James band together to protest, insisting that "Tender Engines don’t shunt!" In response, the Fat Controller assigns Edward to handle the shunting duties. However, as Edward faces mockery from the others, the Fat Controller realizes he needs a solution and opts to purchase a new tank engine named Percy to assist.
