Mildred is delighting in bouncing high in the air alongside Enid, thanks to some stolen magic that makes the grass springy. However, Maud is growing increasingly frustrated with Enid's constant interruptions, aware that Mildred must focus if she hopes to succeed at the academy. The idea of losing her friend is unbearable for Maud, and she’s determined to get Mildred back on track.
