In a pivotal meeting, Jean declares that the only viable option may be to fully close the Casualty department. Meanwhile, Ralph takes discreet measures to address the crisis, which inadvertently stirs up some painful memories from his past. Ultimately, Carol and Ralph's relationship takes a new turn as they finally come together.
