Meanwhile, a mother-to-be experiences kidney failure during labor, and hospital porter Ken Hopkirk requires surgery after injuring himself while moving a piano. On a brighter note, romance begins to bloom between Dr. Goodwin and student nurse Samantha Beaumont, but Lizzie Kennoway's driving lesson takes a turn for the worse when she crashes into the back of Mr. Harper's parked car.
