Tom's latest temporary secretary is excessively diligent, making things a bit chaotic. Meanwhile, Joe Simons, the swindler who assisted Nicholas in getting back from San Diego, reappears, claiming to have hit the jackpot in the Yukon, much to the family's annoyance. He insists he discovered a gold mine. In a different turn of events, Joannie proposes to create a television commercial for David's construction business.
