Episode Overview

Stretching over 3,500 kilometers from north to south, the islands in the Pacific are so slender that the ocean is never out of reach. Their coastlines total an impressive 35,000 kilometers. We dive beneath the surface to uncover the breathtaking underwater realm of the Japanese archipelago. Accompanied by Michael Keida and, on one occasion, Bonnie Waycott, we marvel at the vibrant marine life from both tropical and temperate zones, encountering corals, two species of sharks, and a sociable Asian sheepshead wrasse. In the studio, Michael fondly recalls his adventures alongside narrator Bill Sullivan.
