In South America, Marsh, Burns, and Marsala embark on a mission to rescue a Terran geneticist named Ketzer, who may hold the key to defeating the Neo Lords. After dispatching a Neo patrol, they attract Draconis's attention in the jungle. The trio is soon ambushed by green humanoids, who capture Nara and take her to their village. There, she discovers that Ketzer, who transformed the natives and himself, is behind her capture. He alerts her teammates, but the Neos intercept the signal, prompting Draconis, urged by Medusa, to seek personal gain. Ketzer coerces the ExoTroopers into aiding an attack on Manaus by threatening Nara's transformation. As the Neos assault the village, Draconis is executed for betrayal. Marsh demands a cure for Nara, but Ketzer reveals there is none and escapes amid the chaos.
