The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is drawn into a clash of morality when a Pentecostal minister is discovered lifeless in a pit filled with snakes. Longworth's probe into the religious institution takes him to the Big House, where he uncovers a deadly mix-up. At the same time, Sam's exit prompts Callie to reevaluate her feelings for Longworth, leading to uncertainty in their relationship.
