Alec and Isabelle are racing against time to find Jace Wayland, hoping to reach him before the other Shadowhunters do. With the Clave's ruthless directive to “shoot to kill,” they know they must move quickly. Meanwhile, Simon seeks Magnus’s assistance as he faces challenges from both Raphael and Aldertree. At the same time, Clary grapples with her identity, feeling out of place in the Shadowhunter realm while realizing she can't return to her ordinary life.
