Title: Vacant Possession Plot: Ruby invites Blaketon over for dinner, leading to several subsequent meetings. Meanwhile, Phil and Alf can't resist teasing Nick about his mother's budding interest in Oscar. However, Ruby grows frustrated when Blaketon fails to pick up on her cues and dismisses him as "lifeless." Eddie, an illiterate man, is furious when his aunt sells the cottage she promised him, causing his fiancée to call off their wedding due to their lack of a home. As Eddie faces trouble from a rival trying to frame him for vandalism, Nick ultimately reveals the truth. Greengrass tries to sell some land, but it backfires. Ruby anticipates that Auntie Eileen's visit will allow her to return to London, expecting Eileen to stay for just a short while—but things don’t go as planned.
