Abbots Farm faces a crisis as a tuberculosis outbreak strikes the livestock. Alf finds himself in a bind with his car yet again, this time managing to get it lodged in a river! Nick steps in to assist him in retrieving the vehicle, while Claude lightens the mood by joking about strange sounds echoing from the surroundings. Meanwhile, the police stumble upon a case involving illegal exotic birds in the area.
