Mike investigates a connection between a deceased farm laborer and a series of animal fatalities. Meanwhile, Alfred abandons David in Whitby. On another front, Tricia is distraught after one of her patients passes away. As she grapples with the loss of Len, guilt begins to consume her. Initially believing the cause was tetanus, she is devastated when test results reveal poisoning, leading her to question her skills as a doctor. Despite there being nothing she could have done differently, she can't shake the feeling of inadequacy and berates herself for the tragic outcome.
