S02E08 The Mysterious Shadow

On their way back from studying the Samurai Bible, Yukimura and Matabei are attacked by an unknown figure, who is chased off by Inshun. The following day, Hanzo and Matabei lament their past failures to shield their masters in battle. The dojo gathers to discuss the mysterious attacker, while Satchin and Jubei keep up their Ki training—Satchin happening upon Inshun. Jubei brings Inshun along to spend the day together, dubbing her "Inko-chan," and the two promise to become friends after the coming fight. That night, Muneakira, Jubei, Yukimura, Sen, Matabei, and Hanzo hunt for the assailant. Sen is targeted, but Hanzo cannot defend her; only Inzo's interference saves them—yet the group wrongly takes Inzo for the true attacker.
