Ann discovers that trying to accomplish two goals at once can be overwhelming when she travels to St. Louis with Donald to meet his family and participate in a play. Feeling certain that Don's mother dislikes her, Ann believes that taking on a more prominent role in the production could change her fortunes and help improve the situation.
