Mephisto Pheles discloses to the students that the ghoul attack was a component of the Esquire exam, and how they handled the situation will impact their assessment. Yukio takes on Neuhaus, questioning his motives for compelling Rin to unleash his demonic powers during the test. Neuhaus insists that he was merely following Mephisto's directives. Still, it doesn't take long for Yukio to uncover Neuhaus' true intentions.
