As Sipowicz recovers in the hospital from his prostate surgery, Detective Martinez makes his return to the precinct following the arrival of his newborn. The team delves into the case of a body found in a charred van. Although the victim's five friends all share the same account, the detectives begin to suspect a conspiracy among them. Meanwhile, Medavoy shares a personal moment with Martinez by showing him the video of his child's birth.
