This Old House S25E21

Episode Overview

Host Kevin O'Connor and expert carpenter Norm Abram join plumbing and heating specialist Richard Trethewey in Bermuda, outside St. Peter's Church in St. George. At Aunt Nea's Inn, Norm and Kevin chat with homeowner Delaey Robinson regarding the building permit and budget constraints. Across the street at Harbour View, general contractor Alan Burland demonstrates how he's employing a steel beam to support the second floor, while lead mason Dilton Cann shows Kevin the construction of new walls for the addition using concrete blocks. To illustrate the beauty of a renovated Bermuda home, Alan takes Norm to his meticulously restored farmhouse from circa 1750 in Somerset. Back at the project site, master plumber Gerald Smith explains to Richard how the two existing cisterns will capture rainwater from the roof for the home's drinking water supply.
