Steve walks in to discover a temporary metal door at the entrance and heads inside to check on John Dee, who is busy stripping and refinishing the front entry doors. Dan is on site, fitting a pair of custom-sized exterior shutters made from solid PVC, complete with a 10-year warranty and hardware for $450. After that, we take a trip to the USS Constitution workshop. Back at the project, our master carpenter assists Tom in trimming one of the new egress windows in the basement with custom molding from our reliable millwork supplier in Cambridge. Meanwhile, Steve teams up with Rory Brennan to install a new plaster medallion and then observes the installation of bamboo flooring in the rental kitchen, learning about its origins, manufacturing process, and cost.
