Six troubled teenagers are sent to Lieber Correctional Facility in Ridgeville, SC, for an immersive experience of life behind bars. Through the inmate-led "Operation Behind Bars" initiative, they find themselves confined in small cells, sampling prison meals, and getting a firsthand look at "Lock-Up," the facility’s section for its most dangerous inmates. The program's coordinator, Nell Westbury, a civilian with a strict demeanor, adds her own perspective to the inmates' harsh lessons, aiming to instill a sense of reality in the teens through this challenging experience.
