Episode Overview
The Purist faction in the Britannian Army blames Suzaku for Clovis' death, intending to use this as a pretext to eliminate Honorary Britannians from their ranks. To save his childhood friend, Lelouch devises a plan, enlisting the help of Kallen and Kaname Ohgi, leader of her resistance group. Publicly revealing himself as Zero, Lelouch claims responsibility for Clovis' death and leverages his powers over Jeremiah Gottwald to secure Suzaku's rescue. In a private moment, Lelouch urges Suzaku to rebel against Britannia for the unjust accusations, but Suzaku declines, opting instead to reform the Empire from the inside.
