As Jeff goes through his tedious routine in the ball cage, relying on the outdated pitching machine, he yearns for a real challenge from a human pitcher. On the occasion of his and Gidget's 8th wedding anniversary, Gidget is determined to surprise Jeff with the ultimate gift: the opportunity to have professional baseball pitcher Jerry McGibbon (Jeff Yagher) pitch to him.
