Episode Overview

At the Solar Blue Surf Academy, seven teens prepare for a year of adventure. After Stacey accidentally damages Fly's board, Heath offers her one of his spare boards to keep her in the competition. Matt and Heath decide to watch the girls compete for the last spot, but during the event, Heath experiences a head tilt while Fly wipes out, prompting the boys to assist lifeguards in getting her to safety. Once the finalists settle into the beach house, they discover that Bec's brother Joe has lost his heat to Anna from Germany, who is also moving in. When the president of Solar Blue visits, Heath convinces him to reconsider. That evening, Matt clarifies to Ann why Bec isn’t fond of her. The next day, as they rally to support Fly, Heath gets another head tilt, and it’s revealed that Stacey tampered with Fly's fin. In a show of sportsmanship, Bec gives Fly her fin, allowing Fly to secure the final spot.
