Dylan arrives on Seefra-1, one of nine identical planets revolving around two suns. There, he meets Rhade, a man who has lost all sense of hope. Rhade despises Dylan for the very hope he represents, and when someone suggests that Dylan should be eliminated, Rhade readily consents to the idea.
