Born to Kill?

S01E01 Fred West

For roughly two decades, Fred and Rose West kidnapped, tortured, sexually assaulted, and killed an unknown number of young women, with many of their remains discovered buried in their garden by authorities. What drove West to carry out these horrific acts? Was he inherently evil, or were his actions shaped by his childhood experiences? Did he commit these crimes for sexual gratification, or, as some suggest, was he involved in providing victims for a dark magic cult?
