Episode Overview

Ash and his companions venture into an icy cave, hoping to take a shortcut to Blackthorn City. After a splashy encounter with Team Rocket, Brock ends up catching a cold, prompting the group to seek refuge in a Pokémon Center located within the cave. While a Jynx tends to Brock, Nurse Joy explains to Ash and Misty that the cave's chill is due to a large facility functioning as a refrigerator. Meanwhile, Team Rocket discovers this building and creates chaos by reversing its effects, heating up the cave while cooling the surrounding jungle, all while plotting to steal the Ice-type Pokémon.
