Usagi attempts to persuade her parents to allow her to take in Luna, but her brother Shingo harbors a strong aversion to cats, coupled with a mild fear of them. Soon after, an enigmatic pet shop appears in town, offering bizarre new animals that cast a hypnotic spell on Shingo and anyone else who adopts one.
