During a live interview, Pepper's intense frustration lands her in a session with the company therapist, who makes her face her unresolved feelings about Charlie. At the same time, Kathy's need to seek approval drives Pepper to uncover alarming hazing practices at a college fraternity. This revelation escalates when one of the pledges takes the entire frat house hostage, including Pepper, threatening them all with a gun.
