The Mary Tyler Moore Show
S01E01 Love is All Around
The beloved series kicks off its iconic seven-season journey in the cozy confines of Mary's apartment. Mary Richards, a 30-year-old single woman, has decided to leave her longtime boyfriend, Bill, to reunite with her old friend, Phyllis Lindstrom, in Minneapolis, having moved from Roseburg, MN. The reason for her departure? After assuring her that they would marry once he completed his hospital internship, Bill suddenly questioned, "Why rush into things?" Meanwhile, Mary faces challenges in her new place, particularly with her cantankerous upstairs neighbor, Rhoda Morgenstern, who claims she’s the rightful owner of Mary's apartment!
